Pop up Penguin Sponsorship

Wild in Art brought a second sculpture trail to Christchurch in 2020. In partnership with Presenting Partner, Harcourts and with the support of many other sponsors, including Ikana, Pop Up Penguins gave residents and visitors a fresh opportunity to discover and delight in all that makes Ōtautahi special.

We were super excited our Ikana Heart of Billows Penguin was positioned outside the Canterbury Museum and was one of the top Penguins unlocked on the Penguin trail.

He was one of 125 penguins placed around the city.  People downloaded the Pop Up Penguin App and started following the trail.  Ikana NZ donated every unlock $1 to Cholmondeley Childrens Centre.

At the conclusion of the event, the penguins were auctioned and raised just over $1 million, of which 75% went to the Cholmondeley Childrens Centre. How awesome is that and it was great to be a part of so much positivity and impact across our city and long term for the centre.
